JEANETTE CANTRELL October 8, 1936 - August 19, 2013 Doris Jeanette Gardner Cantrell, age 76, of Belton, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2013, at Rainey Hospice House. Born in Cowpens, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Cleo Gardner and the late Ethel Revels Gardner. Mrs. Cantrell was retired as a sales associate at Hamrick's in Gaffney, and was a member of Neals Creek Baptist Church. Jeanette is remembered by her family as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, an amazing cook, and a lover of the hummingbirds who frequently visited her window. Survivors include her husband, William L. Cantrell of Belton; 3 sons, David Cantrell and his wife, Cathy, of Weddington, NC, Jay Cantrell and his wife, Temple, of Greensboro, NC, and Chris Cantrell and his wife, Grace, of Greenville, SC; a daughter, Sheila Cantrell Branyon and her husband, Paul, of Williamston, SC; a sister, Peggy Aldridge of Gaffney, SC; and 4 grandchildren, Kevin Branyon of Anderson, Michelle Branyon Jones and husband, Ben, of Charlotte, James Cantrell and Casey Cantrell, both of Greensboro. A Funeral Service to celebrate the life of Jeanette Cantrell will be conducted on Friday, August 23, 2013, at 2 PM, at Neals Creek Baptist Church, with Rev. Alex Henderson officiating. Interment will follow at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veteran's Cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at Neals Creek Baptist Church on Friday prior to the service from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM. The family suggests that contributions in memory of Mrs. Cantrell may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
