Jeanne King Ashley, age 95, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at her home.

Born February 15, 1928, in Belton, SC, she was the daughter of the late Maxwell B. King and Blanche Ellison King. She was married to Wendell Milford Ashley until his death in 2001. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Donald King, Sr., Larry King, and Max B. King, Jr.; and sister, Frances Hamilton.

She is survived by her son, Wendell Milford "Buck" Ashley, Jr. (Melissa); daughter, Laura Keller; grandchildren, John Paul Keller, Beth Keller, Katie Beth Johnson (Ed), and Ellen Stewart (John); great grandchildren, Mary Miles Johnson and Harris Johnson; and sisters, Brenda Saylors and Sherry Hazzard.

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 14, 2024, from 1:00-2:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm in the Chapel. A private burial will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Affinity Hospice or Hospice of the Upstate.
