Jeanne V. Williams Anderson, SC Jeanne "Ahma" Vashaw Williams, age 84, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Chapel Hill, NC on July 21, 1930, Jeanne was a daughter of the late Charles Edwin Vashaw and the late Lyda Mae Laws Vashaw. She attended the University of North Carolina and graduated from Duke University School of Nursing. Jeanne was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Anderson. She will always be remembered as a wonderful, selfless and talented lady being involved in many community, church and civic activities. She was the former owner of Threads and Things and was a member of the Women's Medical Auxiliary, Garden Club and the Anderson Community Theater. As long as her health permitted she participated in all of her family's activites. She leaves behind a great legacy being survived by her children, Kevin Kesler and husband, Doug, of Suwanee, GA, Dana Clamp, of Anderson, SC, and Lori Edwards and husband, Rick, of Anderson, SC; six grandchildren, Morgan Edwards DeBrew (Chris), Allison Clamp, Haley Edwards Brinson (Cal), Meg Kesler, John Clamp (Kristen), and Liz Kesler; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Kenneth Williams; and a sister, Betty V. Zande. The family will receive friends in the Chennault Parlor of First Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm followed by a Memorial Service beginning at 3:00 pm in the sanctuary with Reverend Dr. Dennis Tedder officiating. The family will be at the home of her daughter Lori Edwards. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 320 West Whitner Street, Anderson, SC 29624, or Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
