JEANNINE MC ILWAIN TIDWELL March 22, 1936 - September 6, 2006ANDERSON, SCMrs. Jeannine McIlwain Tidwell, age 70, of 916 Concord Avenue, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 06, 2006.Born in Anderson, SC on March 22, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Myrtle McIlwain. She was the widow of Billy Ray Tidwell and was predeceased by her sister, Catherine Anderson of Ranger, Georgia. She was very active in the life of her church, Trinity United Methodist in Anderson and loved her Sunday school class, the Cokesbury class. She was employed by the Anderson County Health Department as an administrative assistant for the head nursing director and retired after 24 years. She was a member of the BPO Does Organization, was the third president of the Does, served as president for three years and was the state president for a year.She is survived by her children, Teresa Tidwell of Anderson, Rachel Tidwell Gause and husband, Bill of Columbia and Gene Tidwell and wife, Shelly of Anderson; two grandsons, Hunter and Carson Tidwell and their brother, Mason Owens of Anderson; two sisters and brothers'in-law, Mrs. Cynthia and Johnny McCurry of Anderson, Mrs. Pat and Stan Compton of Anderson, Mr. William Anderson of Ranger, Georgia, a very special friend, Mr. Marshall Wylie of Fair Play, SC and many close friends. Jeannine Tidwell was a very loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2006 at 11:00 am at Trinity United Methodist Church conducted by the Reverend C. J. Lupo. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Anderson, SC.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, September 7, 2006 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Mrs. Tidwell will be placed in the church at 10:30 am on Friday.
