Jeffrey Steven Viau, age 62, of Anderson, SC, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022. Born June 2, 1959, in Detroit, MI, he was a son of the late Jerome Norbert Francis Viau and Sharleen Ann Cecil Viau. Jeff spent a career in metal expansion joint design, fabrication, and sales at Kadant Unaflex. He enjoyed reading, boating, music, and was an avid Clemson fan. Most importantly, Jeff was a follower of Jesus Christ and emulated that in his every day life. He was genuine, patient, and had a heart of gold. Jeff , who was affectionately known as "Gugu", "Bug", and "Venus", was a mentor to many and he was cherished by his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 29 years, Regina Hacker Viau; son, Logan Michael Viau; daughter, Haley Marie Craft; brother, Michael Viau (Tracy); sisters, Nancy Viau and Jennifer Gwynn; and mother-in-law, Barbara Ferguson. He was a devoted grandfather to Braelee Craft, Cannon Craft, and Saylor Craft; and a devoted uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Michelle Fisher; and father-in-law, Spencer Ferguson. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 9, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The memorial service will begin at 2:00 pm in the Chapel with Mr. Jason Alewine officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jeff Viau 2022 Grandchildren's Trust at GO FUND ME or the Anderson Pregnancy Care, www.andersonpregnancycare.org. The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses, doctors, and staff at AnMed Health Medical Center and especially to Dr. Chet Walters, for the care given to Jeff.
