Jennie Lou Moore Williams left this earth on August 7, 2026. She was born in Toccoa, Georgia, to the late Hoyt and Nettie Belle Moore and was the second oldest of five children.

 She played basketball in high school but was quickly swept off her feet by a young man from La France, South Carolina. Six weeks after they met, she married Travis "Pete" Williams and soon became the devoted mother of two sons.

 She spent much of her adult life in the La France and Wild Hog communities, except for a brief move to Calhoun Falls, where Pete was recruited to play textile league baseball. She worked for J.P. Stevens for 42 years. She was a faithful member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for approximately 40 years. In her later years, she and her best friend, Lucy Landreth, visited Mount Tabor's shut-ins every Tuesday. She had a passion for serving the Lord by serving others.

 She was affectionately known as "Nana" and "Mrs. Jennie" by all who knew and loved her. She was an exceptional cook, and her family was blessed with decades of Sunday afternoon dinners and phenomenal pound cakes. Her homemade butter biscuits were second to none. She thoroughly enjoyed visits from family and friends, rides through town, and spending hours watching the birds and squirrels in her backyard. Her home was a welcoming place for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who sometimes spent more time there than they did at home.

 She is survived by her sons, Ted (Kay) Williams of Abbeville and Marty (Teresa) Williams of Pendleton; her grandchildren, Lori (Michael) Sloan, Tyler (Michaela) Williams, Anna (Coker) Price, Stacy (Pete) Osment, Cayla (Kyle) Meachum, and Colby (Amanda) Williams; and her great-grandchildren, Reagan and Blake Sloan; Harper, Hadley, and Walker Williams; Coker and Adeline Price; Emma, Anna-Claire, and Chloe Osment; and Kipp, Kase, and Kole Williams. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Schaeffer, and her sister-in-law, Sandra Moore.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Pete; her sister, Ressie; her brothers, James and Mike; and her granddaughter, Courtney Ellen Williams.

 The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at Pendleton Methodist Church. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m., with her great-nephews, Bert Watts and Brett Sanders, officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Tabor Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will be at the home of her granddaughter, Lori Sloan.
