JEROME LYON May 6, 1935 - November 7, 2006ANDERSON, SC Mr. Jerome Wesley Lyon, age 71, husband of Mary Clarene Skelton Lyon of Anderson, died Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at the Hospice House in Anderson, SC.Born in Anderson, SC on May 6, 1935, Mr. Lyon was a son of the late Leander Lyon and Maybelle Evans Lyon. He was retired from Hexcel Schwebel and was the former owner of Cedric's Fish & Chips. He was a member of the Hiram Lodge #68, Scottish Rite, Hejaz Shrine Temple. He was an avid dancer with many local dancing groups and following his retirement, he lovingly and carefully cared for his wife following her stroke. Mr. Lyon was a beloved father and grandfather to his children. Survivors include his wife of the home; son, Dwain Lyon and his wife, Bertha of Anderson, SC; daughters, Janet Scarborough and her husband, David, of Anderson, SC and Crystal Lyon Head of Westminster, SC; brothers, Joe Lyon and his wife, Helen, Gerald Lyon and his wife, Lib, all of Anderson, SC and George Lyon and his wife, Mary of Wichita, KS; sisters, Mary Richardson of Anderson, SC and Jeanette Mims and her husband, Dan of Hilliard, FL. Three grandchildren, Wesley Scarborough and his wife, Kristen, Bradley Head and Riley Scarborough also survive.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Earlene Lyon; brothers, John and James Lyon, and sisters-in-law, Nettie Sue Lyon and Laura Madden Lyon.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 10, 2006 at 12:00 Noon in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends Sam Duncan and Cecil Campbell. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson with Masonic Rites.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 9, 2006 from 6-8 pm.The family will be at the home of grandson, Wesley Scarborough, 405 Arcadia Drive, Anderson, SC.Flowers are optional.
