JERRY CARROLL August 6, 1939 - August 19, 2013 Jerry William Carroll, age 74, of Anderson, passed away on August 19, 2013 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Walter R. Carroll and the late Eugenia Lovern Carroll Jury. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, retiring after 20 years of service as a Navy diver. Following his military career he was employed with Morton - Thiokol in Greenville, retiring as maintenance supervisor. He was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church and very active in the Knights of Columbus, being the Charter Grand Knight. He was also a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Roseann Zurko Carroll; a son, S. Jeffrey Carroll and his wife Melissa Wyatt Carroll; and a brother-in-law, Mickey Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Elizabeth Carroll; and a sister, Marcella Wilson. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church with Father Aubrey McNeil, OFM officiating. The committal of his ashes will follow at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery with full military honors. Honorary Escorts will be the Knights of Columbus.
