Jerry Ray Crain, age 81, of Starr, SC, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at Rainey Hospice House. Born August 20, 1941, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late John T. Crain and Margie Tabor Crain. Jerry was retired from the United States Navy. He is survived by his sister, Sue Crain; and brother, Tommy Crain (Linda). A graveside service will be held Sunday, July 9, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Major Chris Crain and Elizabeth Jones, CRE officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Flat Rock Presbyterian Church, c/o Ruth Boggs, 135 Chuck Dr., Anderson, SC 29624. The family will be at their respective homes.
