Jerry Lamar Grogan, 60, of 1122 Farmer Rd. Starr, SC passed away Monday, August 29th, 2016, at AnMed Health Medical Center with his family by his side. He is the son of Barbara Jean Grogan Messer of Anderson and the late Milliard Pinckney Grogan. He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Lee Grogan. He is survived by one son, Zachary Garrett Grogan of Anderson, SC. four sisters, Linda Ann Vickery (Leonard), Jackie Mae Chasteen (Kenneth), Teresa Gail Sanders and Judy Fay Grogan, all of Anderson SC; two Brothers James Milliard Grogan (Stacy) and Bruce Wayne Grogan (Kathy), all of Anderson SC; step-father, Allen Messer of Anderson. The service will be held at Gethsemane Baptist Temple at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1st, 2016, with Rev. Sam Duncan officiating. The family is at the home of his mother, Barbara Messer, 202 Beauregard Ave., Anderson, SC, and will receive friends at Gethsemane Baptist Temple from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
