Jerry John Kubu of Anderson passed away on January 8, 2018 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson. Jerry was born in Rahway, NJ on July 14, 1945 and was a 1963 graduate of Rahway High School and attended Rutgers University. He moved to Anderson, SC in 1979, and was vice-president of sales for Wells Aluminum in Belton, SC until 1991, when he founded Southeastern Sales and Marketing until his retirement in 2011. Jerry loved to play golf and was an avid boater and fisherman and enjoyed his Wednesday night poker game. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Kubu and Doris Kubu; as well as a sister, Doris Gaskill. Jerry is survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his beloved bulldog, Scarlett. There will be a private service for the family at First Presbyterian Church of Anderson. A celebration of Jerry's life will be held from 5-7 pm on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Sullivan's Metropolitan Grill, Anderson. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Rainey Hospice House, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
