Jerry Fred Murphy, age 86, son of the late Albert M. and Lucille H. Murphy, passed away at his home on Thursday, April 7, 2022. A devout Christian, Jerry was a Sunday School teacher from a young age and has served as a deacon. He was a faithful member of Midway Bible Church. For years his hobby was detailing cars for friends and had a passion for antique cars. Jerry is survived by his wife, Joyce Waters Murphy; son, Mitchell Alan Murphy; brother, Robbie Durane Murphy (Frankie); niece, LaJuan Busby; nephews, Timothy Masters, Robbie Murphy, Rick Spearman, and Phil Spearman; and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his sisters, Jo Ellen Masters (Curtis) and Dortha Spearman (David); and a nephew, Monty Murphy. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Phil Gerard officiating.
