Jesse Thomas Shirley, age 4, of Pendleton, SC, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021 at MUSC Medical Center. He was born May 11, 2017, in Charleston, SC, and was the son of Justin T. Shirley and Brittney Anderson Shirley. He is also survived by his sister, Layla Jaye Shirley; grandparents, Thomas R. and Gina Shirley, Russ and Suzette Baker, and Bobby Anderson; great grandmother, Carolyn D. Shirley; uncle, Michael R. Shirley "uncle Cool Cool"; uncle and aunt, Jeremy and Tiffany Dixon; and cousins, Hunter and Emma Dixon. Jesse was a rambunctious little boy who loved anything to do with the outdoors. He liked hunting and fishing and playing around on the farm. He was fascinated by tractors and especially enjoyed riding on his Poppy's tractor. He also had fun riding his Power Wheels. His love of the outdoors also gave him a love for all animals and spending time with his own animals brought him so much joy. He loved playing with his best friend and sister, Layla, and aggravating his uncle Cool Cool. Jesse was cherished by his family and he will be dearly missed by all who loved him. The family will receive friends Monday, December 20, 2021, from 5:00-8:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at 11:00 am at Bishop Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Robbie Parris officiating. Burial will follow at Old Stone Church Cemetery.
