Jessie Tomlinson Christopher, 76, went out with a bang on the Fourth of July and her 53rd wedding anniversary with the love of her life, George, by her side as always. Jessie was born and raised in Georgia and moved to Anderson to "live forever" after marrying George and having her three children. Jessie was unique to say the least. She could always be found with a sparkling glass of Pepsi in one hand and a cigarette in the other. To some she was a character, to others, unconventional, but to all, she was fun; to her kids, she was Mom. Jessie was a card shark playing duplicate bridge weekly and became a Silver Life Master. She was a also a seasoned gambler which enabled her to be "invited" to Vegas and the Bahamas, where some of her fondest family trips were taken. Everyone always said Jessie would outlive us all, instead she is playing Rummy in Heaven with her brother, Buddy and her parents, Jesse and Lela Tomlinson. She is survived by her loving husband, George Christopher and their three children, Chase and Suzette Christopher, Jill and Michael Wolf, and Shannon and Christopher Chase. She will be forever remembered as Gold to Reagan, Caroline, Chase, Tillman, Michael, Heath and Macy. Stay Gold! Following a private committal at Forest Lawn Memorial Park the funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, July 7, 2017 at Central Presbyterian Church with Dr. David Bailey officiating. The family will be at their homes and will receive friends immediately following the service at the church fellowship hall.
