Mr. Jessie Wilmont Sanders, age 65, of 235 Thomason Circle, Anderson, SC, died Wednesday, November 23, 2005, at AnMed Health Center in Anderson, SC.Mr. Sanders was born November 5, 1940, in Anderson, SC, to the late Sarah Sanders Rider. He was a former employee of J. P. Stevens-Appleton Plant. He was a member of Jesus Deliverance Tabernacle and the Anderson Moose Lodge.Mr. Sanders was never married and is survived by a sister, Mrs. Leonard Powell of the home; nieces and nephews reared in the home, Charlie Chasteen, Jr., Loretta Mitchell, Debra Stafford, Cindy Powell, Paul Powell, Andrea Powell, David Richardson; a godson and great nephew, Stephen Powell; and other surviving nieces and nephews, Daniel Mitchell, Tonya Mitchell and Shannon Hernandez.In addition to his mother Sarah Sanders Rider and stepfather James Rider, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Reverend Leonard Powell.The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur Higgins, Rev. Bill McCall and Rev. Shane Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends, Friday, November 25, 2005, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home.The family will be at the residence.Flowers are optional.
