Jessie "Edith" James Toney, age 75, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017 at her residence. Born in Anderson, SC, on January 9, 1942, she was the daughter of Albert and Rilla McCrary James. She was employed with Culp Textiles for many years and was a member of The Intercontinental Church of God. She is survived by a brother, Nathan James, of Anderson, SC; three sisters, Margaret Hannah, of Anderson, SC, Annie Smith, of Starr, SC, and Clara Higginbotham, of Anderson, SC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Toney; a brother, Junior James; and two sisters, Mary and Cathy James. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 2:00 PM at New Silver Brook Cemetery with Pastor Ron Poole officiating.
