OBITUARY WITH PHOTOGRAPH JESSIE S. WAREDECEMBER 15, 1914 - May 9, 2008 ANDERSON, SC Jessie S. Ware, age 93, formerly of 1310 Oak Hill Drive and recently a resident of Magnolia Assisted Living passed away on Friday, May 9, 2008 at the AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Jackson County, Georgia on December 15, 1914, Mrs. Ware was the daughter of the late Dave A. Smith and Ella Dodd Smith. She retired from the textiles industry and was a member of Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mrs. Ware was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother who thoroughly enjoyed having lunch at AnMed Health. 'Granny Ware', as her family and friends affectionately knew her, was truly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her two children: her son, Jimmy R. Ware and wife, Louise Ware, of Smyrna, Georgia and her daughter, Janelle W. Hanks of Anderson. Her surviving grandchildren are: Deborah H. Gambrell and husband, Ronnie Gambrell, Raymond C. Hanks, Jr. and wife, Robyn Hanks, Donna Wheeler and husband, Mitchell Wheeler, Rhonda Griffith and husband, Allen Griffith, Joi Cox and husband, Rick Cox, and Alicia Lubbers and husband, David Lubbers. Her surviving great grandchildren are: Jill Hutchins and husband, Chad Hutchins, Amy Eskew, Raymond C. Hanks, III 'Trey' and wife, Morrise Hanks, Rhett C. Hanks, Brent Wheeler, Blake Wheeler, Ashley Trammell, Adam Trammell, Tyler Cox, Johnathon Cox, Rachel Lubbers, Daniel Lubbers, and Andrew Lubbers; and her great-great grandchildren: Anna Eskew, Rockford Hutchins, Raymond C. Hanks, IV 'Troy', and Mitch Wheeler; and a granddaughter-in-law, Donna R. Hanks. Mrs. Ware was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Mildred W. Smithwick; her husband, and her seven brothers. Her son-in-law & loving caretaker, Raymond C. Hanks, Sr. and a great-great granddaughter, Bailey Lou Hanks, also preceded her in death. The Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 11, 2008 in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Brent Lollis and Layman Harry Osborne.
