Jewell Inez Gibby Buchanan, 88, passed away Friday July 13, 2018 at Poinsett Health and Rehab Center, Greenville, SC. She was born on October 7, 1929 in Toccoa, Georgia and was a daughter of the late S. T. Gibby and the late Fannie Lillian Little Gibby. She was the widow of Richard "Buck" Shirley Buchanan. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Louis Brannon and brothers, Cecil, Herman and William Morris Gibby. She is survived by her sons, Bobby Ray Buchanan of Belton, SC and Richard Earl Buchanan of Anderson, SC; sisters, Doris Messer of Greenville, SC and Bernice Hartness of Rock Hill, SC. A Graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 11:00 am. The family will be at 1 Templewood Drive, Greenville, SC.
