Hudson, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014 at Brown Memorial Convalescent Center in Royston, GA. Born in Toccoa, GA on July 23, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Thomas Collier and the late Thelma Pless Collier Ashley. Mrs. Hudson was a homemaker and was a member of the Salem Baptist Church. She is survived by her two brothers; Bill Ashley and Tony Ashley; son; Raymond D. Hudson, Sr., (Cindy) of Anderson, SC; daughter, Diane Canapa (Mark) of Louisville, KY; daughter-in-law, Pam Hudson of Greenville, SC; ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son Walter T. Hudson; and two sisters, Jeanette Collier McFarlin and Judy Ashley Hall. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Salem Baptist Church with the Dr. Charles Holland, Reverend Albert Hudson and Dr. Glenn Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will at the home of her son, Raymond D. Hudson, 2611 Whitehall Road, Anderson, SC and will receive friends on Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home.
