James Franklin Aldridge, age 92, of Anderson, SC, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024 at Rainey Hospice House.

Born January 26, 1931, in Wolf Lake, IL, he was the son of the late James Hannibal Aldridge and Alice Hatley Aldridge. He was also preceded in death by a son, James Daniel Aldridge, 2 brothers and 5 sisters.

Jim was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and Korean Conflict and received his master's degree from Southern Illinois University. He was an educator and counselor for many years and followed by a career in home construction. He loved dogs and politics and enjoyed voicing his political opinion in the newspaper.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Jane Boehmer Aldridge; children, Barbara Slaybaugh (Keith) and Julie Lundgren (Mark), and Kurt Gibson (Kathy); and his loving grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 3:00 pm at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery with Dr. Dennis Tedder officiating.
