Mr. James Homer "Jim" Culbertson, Sr. 79, of Anderson, SC died on Tuesday evening at An-Med Health Medical Center in Anderson. He was the son of the late Placeda English and was a retired US Air Force Veteran of 20 years. Jim also retired from the Tri-County Technical College as a Department Head and was a Reserve Officer for the Anderson County Sherriff's Department for several years. Jim graduated from Tri-County Technical College with a Degree in Industrial Mechanics. Jim is survived by his companion: Bonnie Henderson of Anderson, SC; one daughter: Donna Kinsley and husband Wayne of Starr, SC; one son: Buddy Culbertson of Starr, SC; four grandchildren: James H. Culbertson, III, Casey Michelle Long, Brandon Anthony Dunn, and Dustin Ryan Dunn; and three great grandchildren: Michael, Lily, and Laila. In addition to his mother, Jim was preceded in death by a son: Tony Culbertson. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 6th, 2015 a 2:00pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Butch Morrison officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at South Lawn Memorial Gardens in Starr, SC. The Culbertson family will receive friends from 6-8:00pm on Thursday evening, November 5th, 2015 at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home of Buddy Culbertson.
