Jim E. Freeman ANDERSON, SC Jim E. Freeman, age 83, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home. Born in Jefferson, GA on July 2, 1931, Mr. Freeman was the son of the late John Henry Freeman and Ollie Ashe Freeman. He was a United States Army Veteran and was the owner of Jim's Beauty Supply, established in 1962. He was a former employee of Owens Corning Fiberglas. Survivors include a son, Neil Freeman; daughter, Debra Freeman Bridges; sister, Rozena Freeman McCurley; nine grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son, Steve Freeman; five brothers and 9 sisters. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Phil Sears. A private family committal service with military honors will be held at M. J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service.
