James Walter "Jim" Metz III, age 53, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2015. Born in Gainesville, FL, he was the son of James Walter Metz, Jr., of Boynton Beach, FL and the late Marcia Mary Freeman Metz. He was an electrician and was affectionately known as "Mack Daddy". In addition to his father he is survived by his four daughters, Nicole Metz Hall, of Lawndale, CA, Branka Metz, of Cleveland, GA, Mary Metz, of Clarkesville, GA and Christine Metz Hirschi, of Cleveland, GA; a brother, William Metz, of West Columbia, SC; three sisters, Suzanne Metz, of Anderson, SC, Melissa Metz Wright, of Coeur D' Alene, ID, and Jennifer Metz, of Anderson, SC; and three grandchildren, Juliana "Jewlz" Hall, Cadence Hirschi, and Alyssa Hirschi. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Metz. The Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home.
