Jim Osborne Anderson, SC Newell Inman "Jim" Osborne, age 88, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Hart County, GA, on January 22, 1926, he was the son of the late Calvin Coleman Osborne and the late Jessie Allen Osborne. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He was the owner and operator of Jim Osborne Car Sales. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his son, Jimmy Osborne, Jr., of Anderson, SC; a sister, Ruby N. Watson, of Anderson, SC; two grandchildren, Ashlee Osborne Pierce and Blake Wells Osborne; and one great-grandson, Samuel Allen Pierce. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Terry Osborne and Calvin Osborne; four brothers, O.C., Lester, Lev, and Sidney Osborne; and one sister, Ellen Speer. The Graveside service will be held at Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Hartwell, GA, on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. with Mr. Harry Osborne and Reverend Brent Lollis officiating. The family will be at the home of his granddaughter, Ashlee O. Pierce, 104 Pinion Lane, Anderson, SC and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home, prior to the service on Tuesday, from noon until 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
