Mrs. Jimmie Sue Evans Swilling, 80, of Starr, SC died peacefully at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC on Wednesday, February 15, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Cleo and Jessie Mae Robinson Evans born on January 29, 1937. Mrs. Swilling graduated from Girls High and was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple. She worked for several years at Walmart in the fabric department. Mrs. Swilling is survived by her husband: William Larry Swilling, Sr. of their home; two sons: William Larry Swilling, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Starr, SC and T. Scott Swilling and his wife Donna of Starr, SC; one daughter: Darlene Swilling Cash and her husband Marshall of Anderson, SC; one sister: Dena Parks of Anderson, SC; eight grandchildren: Madison, Austin, and Misty Swilling; Travis Jason, Kevin, and Brett Cash and Whitney Owens; and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Swilling was preceded in death by a sister: Mary Stephens and a brother: Charles Evans. A funeral service will be held at Gethsemane Baptist Temple on Friday, February 17, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Sam Duncan officiating. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery in Anderson, SC. The Swilling family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February, 16, 2017 at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home of Darlene Cash. Flowers will be accepted as memorials.
