IVA, SC'Jimmy H. Burdette, age 65, husband of Glenda Owen Burdette, of 202 Crescent Circle, Iva, SC died on Friday, September 2, 2005 at Anderson, Area Medical Center in Anderson, SC.Born in Iva, SC on April 23, 1940, Mr. Burdette was a son of the late Robert W. Burdette and the late Marie Brown Burdette. He was employed with Mundy Construction Company in Greenwood, SC. He was also a member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Iva, SC.Mr. Burdette is survived by his wife, Glenda Owen Burdette of the home; two sons, Tony W. Burdette and his wife Kay of Calhoun Falls, SC and Jimmy Burdette of the home; a daughter, Maria B. Huggins and her husband Jack of Iva, SC; two brothers, Robert Wendell Burdette and his wife Kate of Iva, SC and John M. Burdette of Starr, SC; three sisters, Vivian Gable and her husband the late Furman of Hartwell, GA, Dorothy Temple and her husband Curtis of Hartwell, GA, and Nadine Pilgrim and her husband Jimmy of Starr, SC; five grandchildren, Sgt. Andrew Burdette of HI, Michael Burdette of Calhoun Falls, SC; Jonathan and Meghan Huggins of Iva, SC, and Shannon Bonds of Calhoun Falls, SC; and two great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, Mr. Burdette was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Dallas Burdette and Betty Inez Burdette.The family is at the home of his daughter, Maria Huggins, 619 Park Drive, Iva, SC.
