Rev. Jimmy Aiken Cox, age 77, of Pendleton, went to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, upon his death at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born on September 12, 1941, in Seneca, SC, he was the son of the late Wyatt Aiken Cox and the late Willie Ann Holbrooks Cox. For fifty-three years, Rev. Cox was the loving and devoted husband of Judith Smith Cox of the residence. Jimmy proudly served his country in the US Army Reserves. Pastor Cox was a Baptist minister, having earned a master's degree from New Orleans Baptist Seminary. He retired as the pastor of Faith Fellowship Baptist Church in Pendleton. Following retirement, he served as pastor of Davis Creek Baptist Church, Seneca, where he was also a member. In addition to his wife, Judith, Rev. Cox is survived by a son, Trevor Aiken Cox (Crystal) of Pendleton; four daughters, Lori Davidson (Jimmie) of Los Angeles, CA, Lee Mischelle C. Snow of Walhalla, SC, Terri Lynn Goggins (Terry) of Palm Dale, CA, and Jessica C. Turner (David) of Easley; a brother, Terry Kenneth Cox (Debra) of Seneca; three sisters, Christine Hopkins (Charles), Shirley Gilden, and Gay Rowland (James), all of Seneca; and twelve grandchildren, Sierra Conard, Ashlyn Greer, Amy Davidson, Camren Anderson, Justin Anderson, Jerad Anderson, Bailey Turner, Lauren Goggins, Jae Aiken Cox, Katie Cox, Bryson Wyatt Turner, and Abbey Turner. Funeral services for "Preacher" will be held at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at 2:30 PM with Rev. Carlton Cleveland, Rev. Jimmie Davidson and Rev. Joe Moss officiating. Interment will follow at Oconee Memorial Gardens in Seneca.
