Jimmy Ray Floyd, age 68, of Belton, SC, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023, at his residence. Born March 12, 1955, in Abbeville, SC, he was the son of the late Hoke Floyd and the late Geneva Pickens Floyd. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Head Floyd and his cat, Little Bit Floyd Jimmy was a truck driver for Southeastern Freight Lines. In his spare time, Jimmy loved camping and the Hallmark Channel. He was independent, reliable and had a strong work ethic. He will be missed by his loving family and his precious cats, Polly and Duchess. Jimmy is survived by his son, Brandon Floyd (Katie); grandson, Jacob Floyd; brothers, Harold, Tommy, David, and Virgil Floyd; and sisters, Ann Taylor, and Nancy Phillips. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 23, 2023, from 6 pm - 8 pm and the McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held, Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 2 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Dwight Greene officiating. The family will hold a private committal service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers. memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 E.
