He graduated from Palmetto High School and retired from the textiles industry.Survivors include his siblings: Doyle Griffin, Patsy Davis, and Ronnie Griffin, all of Anderson, SC, Drusilla Alewine of Lavonia, GA, and Arlene Ricketts of Iva. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his stepfather, Willie Burdette; and a brother, Dennis Larry Griffin.A Graveside Service will be held at 10:30am on Monday, June 13, 2011, at New Silver Brook Cemetery.
