Jimmy Harbert James Henry Harbert, II, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the Medical University of Charleston. Born in Anderson, SC, on May 2, 1939, he was the son of the late James Henry Harbert and the late L.E. Swilling Harbert Bowen. Jimmy was a well-known and loved used car dealer. He was an avid race car driver, a loving husband, dad, and granddad. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his loving wife, Shelby Davenport Harbert; his children, Sherry Crawford and her husband Buddy, Olivia Messer and her husband David, and Skeet Harbert and his wife Tina; mother-in-law, Dollie Bryson; sisters, Dianne Bray and her husband Norman, and Sandra Beusee; and two granddaughters, Kayla Messer and Julia Harbert. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Sue Burdette, Melanie Saxon, Frankie Harbert, Steve Bowen, and an infant brother, Randy Harbert. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at 4:30 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Silvey officiating. Entombment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will be at the home of his daughter, Olivia, 119 Landau Lane and will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 8, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted.
