Jimmy Ray Linker, age 61, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2014, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson, SC, on June 24, 1953, he was the son of the late William Ray Linker and the late Helen Fuller Linker. He played softball for many teams, including the Iva Po Boys, Michaels, and Blue Top Caf. He worked as a truck driver for many years for Francis Produce. His passion was bass fishing. He was a member of Keowee Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Kathy King Linker; three sons, Ray Linker, of Iva, SC, Cody Linker and his wife Tiphani and Bim Linker, all of Anderson, SC; brothers, Jeffrey and Stan Linker and his wife Jessica, all of Anderson, SC; and sisters, Brenda Brown and her husband Donald, of Hartwell, GA and Sheila Giles and her husband Ricky, of Antreville, SC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Linker. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Charles Howell officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
