Jimmy Avis Maroney, age 76, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Rainey Hospice House. Born November 22, 1944, in Anderson, he was the son of the late Dalton Avis Brown and Ethel Maroney. He was married to Mary Louise Burns Maroney until her death in August 2003. Jimmy was auto mechanic by trade and loved working on cars. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his children, Keith Maroney and Stacy Maroney Hall; and grandchildren, Nicole Ison, Shawn Maroney, Tabitha Jeffcoat, and Sonya Jeffcoat. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Diane Mitchell. The family will receive friends Monday, November 22, 2021, from 4:00-5:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 5:00 pm in the Chapel Rev. Dwight Greene officiating.
