Jimmy Richard Moore, Sr., age 78, of Belton, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.

He was born October 15, 1946, to the late Vernon and Doris Moore. Jimmy lived a life full of stubbornness, humor, and love. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Air Force.

Jimmy is survived by his devoted son, Richard Moore (Summer) who was his primary caregiver for the past few years; daughter, Crystal Sumeral (Jason); and two grandchildren, Magan and Justin. He is also survived by his sisters, Marlene Campbell (Larry), Sherri Lamb, and Carol Ownbey; and brothers, Darrell Moore (Sherry) and Terry Moore.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his sister, Tracy Logan; and his beloved wife of 50 years, Joyce Moore. Since her passing in 2023, he longed for the day they would be together again-now they are reunited at last.

Richard and Summer would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Amanda Ricker, Savannah Ricker, and Jimmy's little buddy, Memphis Ricker, for their love, kindness, and assistance with his care over the past few years. Their help, love, and friendship meant the world to Jimmy.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 1:00-2:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Brian Jennings officiating. The committal service will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 1:00 pm at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.

Flowers will be accepted, but the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to a veterans organization of your choice in Jimmy's memory.
