James Douglas Swanson, "Jimmy", age 52, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson, SC, on July 22, 1963, he was the son of Patsy McCurley Swanson and the late Douglas Swanson. He was a graduate of McDuffie High School and was employed with Anderson County. Jimmy was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the SC Chapter of America's Crappie Fishing Community. He was a devoted husband and father. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Tracy Page Swanson, of the home; two sons, Andrew Swanson and Jesse Rhodes, both of Iva, SC; a brother, Steven Swanson, of Anderson, SC; two sisters, Dana Manley, of Anderson, SC and Tammy Woodson, of Pendleton, SC; and nine nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick Swanson. The Graveside Service will be held on Monday, September 7, 2015, at 3:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Reverend Dwayne Peeples officiating.
