The McDougald Funeral Home2211 North Main StreetAnderson, SC 29621864-224-4343OBITUARY JIM THOMAS July 29, 1944 - March 5, 2009BELTON, SCJimmy Lee Thomas, age 64, husband of Juanita Barnes Thomas of 1406 Highway 252, Belton, SC, passed away on Thursday, March 05, 2009, at his residence.Born in Anderson, SC on July 29, 1944, Mr. Thomas was a son of the late Nebzer Franklin Thomas and Austria Kirkland Thomas. He was employed with Satterfield Construction Company for 44 years. He attended Neals Creek Baptist Church his entire life.Survivors include his wife, Juanita Barnes Thomas of the home; son, Jimmy Lee Thomas II and his wife, Sandy W. Thomas of Anderson; daughter, Mandy Thomas Graham of Anderson; son-in-law, Matthew Allen Poore of Belton; brother, Frank Thomas of Anderson; sisters, Grethal Brown of Central and Glenda Ellison of Anderson; six grandchildren, Marty and Leigh Graham, Kayla and Ben Thomas, Kendal and Isaac Poore. Raised in the home are three nephews, Eddie Dorsey of Anderson, Teddy Dorsey of Goose Creek and Frankie Dorsey of Honea Path; niece, Susan Dorsey of Anderson. Twenty nieces and nephews also survive.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Tippi Thomas Poore; brothers, Bill and Yank Thomas; and sister, Patsy Martin.The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2009, at 11:00 am at Neals Creek Baptist Church conducted by the Reverend Alex Henderson and Reverend William R.
