JO ANN B. ANDERSON January 27, 1951 - February 14, 2013 Jo Ann Blakely Anderson, age 62, of 3895 Seminole Avenue, went home to rest in the arms of her Eternal Father on Thursday, February 14, 2013, upon her death at Rainey Hospice House. Born in Pendleton, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Blakely and the late Hattie Lee Hunnicutt Blakely. For almost 46 years, she was the loving and devoted wife of Harold Ray Anderson of the residence. For the past few years, Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker and in that role received much joy from her family and friends. In her earlier years, she worked at BASF for 10 years, and also with Wometco Food Services and Blue Ridge Security. Jo Ann was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her cherished husband, Harold, she is survived by 2 sons, Harold Raymond Anderson and his wife, Shelia, of Spartanburg, and James R. Anderson of Anderson; 3 brothers, Clyde Tippins of Anderson, Rufus Tippins and his wife, Cleo, of Anderson, and Thomas Blakely and his wife, Vicky of Dewy Rose, GA; 2 sisters, Polly Pierson of Hartwell, and Jeanette Stukes of Iva, SC; 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 24 nieces and nephews also survive. Mrs. Anderson also leaves behind 2 precious pets, Harley and Daisy. The funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Mrs. Anderson will be held at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday February 16, 2013 at 2 PM, with Rev. Billy Pinson and Pastor Wade Dotson officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, February 15, 2013 from 6 PM until 8 PM.
