Jo Eleanor Cheek Dove, age 77, of Anderson, SC, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024, at TerraBella Marchbanks.

Born September 24, 1946, in Anderson, SC, she was the only child of the late Joseph Hamilton Cheek and Eleanor Sexton Cheek. She was married for 53 years to Larry Joe Dove until his death in 2020.

To know Jo was to love her as she was the sweetest soul. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family immensely, especially her grandsons. She enjoyed car rides to the lake, dining out with friends, and chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. She was a faithful and active member of Temple Baptist Church as long as her health allowed. Jo loved her church and southern gospel music.

She is survived by her two daughters, Jill Dove Dunn and her husband Greg and Heidi Dove Dalton and her husband Roger; and grandsons, Noah Dunn and Adam Dalton.

The family will receive friends Sunday, May 19, 2024, from 1:00-2:00 pm at Temple Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm with Dr. Steve Hurte officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
