Jo Beth "Jody" Hillhouse Moesley, age 75, entered the Church Triumphant upon her death on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at the Rainey Hospice House with her beloved daughter by her side. Born in Anderson on July 13, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Joseph N. Hillhouse and the late Wilma McCoy Hillhouse. Mrs. Moesley was a graduate of Anderson Girls' High School, Class of 1960. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lander College with the Class of 1964. After thirty-three years in public education, Jody retired from Anderson School District V. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her daughter, Kathi Luplow and her husband, Chris, of Anderson; three grandchildren, Isabella, Kieran and Lilliana Luplow; a sister-in-law, Marsha Hillhouse; beloved nieces and nephew, Terri Whaley and her husband Mike, Jan Clippard and husband Robert, Joe Hillhouse and his wife Mary Beth; also surviving are six great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Jody was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald T. Hillhouse and a great-nephew. A memorial service to celebrate and honor the life of Jo Beth Moesley will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018, at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with the Reverend Dr. David J. Bailey and Rev. Noelle Read officiating.
