Jo Ann Hall Tripp, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at Westwood Nursing Home in Evans, GA. Born in Greenville, SC, on October 13, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Joe Yeargin and the late Louise Casey Yeargin. She was a graduate of Brevard Jr. College and was an assistant Secretary and Treasurer with Federal Land Bank. Jo Ann also worked at North Anderson Baptist Church for many years as the Church Secretary. She is survived by her son, Sam Hall and his wife Cindy, of Evans, GA; step-daughter, Cathe Tripp and her husband Jack Burdine, of Easley, SC; a step-son, John Tripp and his wife Caroline, of Easley, SC; two grandchildren, Joseph Hall and his wife Nithya, and Ellen Hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Samuel Alvin Hall, Sr.; and her second husband, George P. Tripp. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Dr. James R. Thomason officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Baraca Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, prior to the service, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate at 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.
