Bobbie Joan "JoAnn" Adams, 59, of Anderson, SC passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at her home. Born July 13, 1958 in California, she was a daughter of the late Johnny Gentry and the late Bobbie Smith Gentry Goss and Sam Goss. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bobby" Eugene Adams; sister, Gracie Knott and brother, Sonny Gentry. JoAnn was formerly employed with Ryobi and Safe Harbor. She was of the Christian faith and was a member of Lighthouse Worship Center. She had a love for children and enjoyed babysitting out of her home. She is survived by her daughters, April Adams Lanier (John) and Stephanie Adams Singleton; sisters, Donna Getsinger and Kim Boltin; three grandchildren, Bobby Reid, Jr., Skylynn and Noah Singleton; three great grandchildren; four stepbrothers; three nieces and two nephews and her beloved companion, Rascal. The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm Friday, April 13, 2018 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 3:30 pm with Rev. Ron Lawson and Rev. Dwayne Moyer officiating. Burial will be in New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will be at the residence.
