Roosevelt Drive, wife of the late Melvin Rumsey, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at the AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Anderson, SC on August 3, 1934, Mrs. Rumsey was a daughter of the late James Edward Beasley and Gertrude Smith Beasley. She retired from Milliken & Company and worked for Bobby Dan Manufacturing for many years. She was a very active woman who was strong in her Baptist Faith and loved her family.Survivors include her sons Jerry Lee Craft, James Wade Craft and Dennis Neil Craft; daughters, Shirley Ann Jenkins, Deborah Hammond and Diane Andrews; brother, Kenneth Beasley; sister, Geraldine Arnold all of Anderson; one grandchild, Sasha Craft, raised in the home and 11 grandchildren;15 great-grandchildren and first husband, Frank Newton Craft, Jr. of Anderson.In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by brothers, J. B. Beasley, Houston Beasley and Bill Beasley; sisters, Pat Heaton, Maxie Gentry, Virginia Hudgens and a grandson, Jimmy Moore.The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Gene Williams. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
