Joanne Scarborough May 31, 1936 - July 27, 2012 BELTON, SC Mary Joanne Chapman Scarborough, age 76, wife of Reverend Fred J.C. "Tab" Scarborough, of Belton, passed away on July 27, 2012 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Ware Shoals, SC, Joanne was a graduate of Ware Shoals High School and earned an Associate's Degree in Theology from Calvary Bible Institute. She retired from Bi-Lo after 30 years of service. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Honea Path where she served as church secretary and treasurer. In addition to her loving husband of 57 years, she is survived by her daughters, Robin Wooten and her husband Jimmy and Karen Whitten and her husband Danny, all of Pelzer, SC; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and her step-father, James R. Hart of Anderson. Joanne was predeceased by her mother, Louise Spence Hart; a son, Bradford Bunyon Scarborough; a daughter, Wanda Kelly Scarborough; and an aunt and uncle, Betty and Roy Davis. The Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverends Sam Duncan, Freddy Garner and Ricky Knight officiating. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will be at the home of a daughter, Karen Whitten, 311 Looper Road, Pelzer, SC, and will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
