BOBBY BURRISS February 12, 1937 - April 23, 2008ANDERSON, SCMr. Joe Robert 'Bobby' Burriss, age 71, husband of Louree Boyd Burriss of 410 Norman Street, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at his residence.Born in Iva, SC on February 12, 1937, Mr. Burriss was the son of the late William Fred Burriss and Willie Pauline Payton Burriss. He was retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas and was a member of Rocky River Baptist Church. Bobby enjoyed fishing and was an avid gardener.Survivors include his wife, Louree Boyd Burriss of the home; sons, Robert Dale Burriss and Robbie Joe Burriss; daughter, Susan Marie Fisher; two step-children, Tami Cain and David Daniel; sister, Jean Darracott; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, all of Anderson.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Danny Joe Burriss and Michael Wayne Burriss.A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 25, 2008 at 7:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Larry Cox.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday.The family will be at the residence.
