OWENSApril 4, 1931 - February 25, 2007ANDERSON, SCMr. Joe Hubbard Owens, age 75, husband of Bobbie Sue Barrett Owens, of 414 Auburn Avenue, died Sunday, February 25, 2007 at the AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Anderson, SC, on April 4, 1931, Mr. Owens was a son of the late Jack Owens and Ethel Skelton Owens. He was a graduate of Boy's High and a Mechanic for McLees Gargage for many years. He was also a Maintenance Supervisor with Park Davis in Honea Path, SC and Schmid Industries in Anderson. Mr. Owens was a United States Navy veteran.In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Joe David Owens and his wife, Mitzie of Anderson; daughters, Gail O. Barrett and her husband Mike and Pattie Shiflet, all of Anderson; brother, Clyde Owens of Myrtle Beach and a sister, Linda Nichols of Anderson. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kelly Owens; brothers, James Owens Jr. and Raymond Owens and sisters, Betty Campbell and Barbara Owens Fink.The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at 1:00 pm officiated by the Reverend Danny Keen.
