Joe Michael Radford, age 78, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at his home.

Born March 28, 1948, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Neil Symes Radford and Mattie Belle Self Radford. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Neil S. "Steven" Radford.

Mike proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 20 years and retired with the rank of Master Sergeant. He loved his family deeply and he and his wife were inseparable. He had a dry sense of humor and quick with the jokes. He was a stubborn man who had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. He had a wide range of interests and hobbies including fishing, jewelry making, crocheting, genealogy, and traveling. His family will remember him as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 30 years, Sheryl Lejean Posey Radford; sons, David Radford (Emily) and Kevin Pilgrim; daughters, T. Maria Newton and Christina Williamson; sister, Kimberli V. Thomas; grandchildren, Erica, Bree, Dakota, Zach, Xander, Neil, Michaela, and Tripp; and great grandchildren, Hudson, Liam, and Peyton.

A service with military honors will be held on Monday, October 12, 2026, at 10:00 am at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
