Joe Marvin Sosby Anderson, SC Joe Marvin Sosby, age 94, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Franklin County, GA, on December 14, 1920, he was the son of the late Parker Sosby and the late Ethel Crump Sosby. He worked at Owens Corning Fiberglas for more than 33 years. He was an avid Nascar fan. Joe was a member of Hunters Creek Baptist Church in Franklin, GA. He is survived by his daughter, Patsy Elizabeth Sosby Burton and her husband Marshall, of Anderson, SC; two sisters, Lucy Ruth Payne, of Royston, GA and Bonnie Faye Sosby Bennett of Carnesville, GA; a brother, George Sosby, of Martin, GA; one grandson, Robert Eugene Burton, of Williamston, SC; and two great-granddaughters, Sara Elizabeth Reeder and Susie Nicole Burton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Diana Watts Sosby; a brother, Tom Sosby; and a sister, Bertie Mae Sosby McFarlin. The Graveside service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Reverend Roger Flemming officiating.
