Hanna High School and Clemson University. Mr. Parnell retired as an Administrator from the Department of Social Services after thirty-three years of service. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.Survivors include his mother, Hazel Ethridge Parnell Brown; sons: Graham Logan Parnell and Joseph Tyler Parnell; sister, Martha Shaw; and two grandchildren: Alexandria Susan Parnell and Joshua Elijah Parnell. In addition to his beloved wife, he was predeceased by his father, Joe F. Parnell; and a sister, Frances Weyman.The Funeral Service will be held at 2pm on Friday, December 23, 2011, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Paul D. Frey. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family is at the home, 2707 East North Avenue, and will receive friends at the funeral home from 1pm until 2pm on Friday, prior to the service.
