JOEL WOODY December 22, 1923 - July 3, 2007PENDLETON, SCMr. Joel Lunsford Woody, age 83, husband of Frances Todd Woody, of 1707 Refuge Road, Pendleton, SC, died Tuesday, July 03, 2007 at his residence.Born in La France, SC on December 22, 1923, Mr. Woody was a son of the late David Olin Woody and Minnie Love Woody. He was a United States Navy veteran having served during World War II. He was retired from textiles and was a member of La France Church of God.Survivors include his wife, Frances Todd Woody of the home; son, Steve Lunsford Woody and his wife, Landra of Sandy Springs, SC; daughter, Cheryl Woody Pettit and her husband, Ray of Rock Hill, SC; four grandchildren, Amanda Bryant and her husband, Chris, Eric Woody and his wife, Jennifer all of Anderson, SC, John Pettit of McConnells, SC and Paul Pettit and his wife, Leigh Ann of Sharon, SC; two great-grandchildren. Three brothers and four sisters also survive.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2007 at 11:00 am at La France Church of God with the Reverend Robert Ayers officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Clemson.The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.The family will be at the residence.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agape Community Hospice, 300 B.
