MR. JOHN ALDRETANDERSON, SC Mr. John Williams Aldret, age 69, of 205 Windjammer Way died on Wednesday, May 23, 2007. John was born on August 25, 1937 in Summerville, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Ross and Polly Bryant Fraser. Mr. Aldret graduated from Summerville High School, Presbyterian College and the University of South Carolina. He retired after a career in finance with General Electric. Mr. Aldret was also an Elder and Deacon in the Presbyterian Church, USA having served in the Summerville Presbyterian Church and also the First Presbyterian Church of Anderson. Mr. Aldret is survived by his beloved wife of forty-nine years, Joy Dansby Aldret of the home; a son, John Williams Aldret, Jr. and his wife, Janice of Wilmington, North Carolina; a daughter, Angie Aldret Bruhjell and her husband, Gary of Anderson, South Carolina; a grandson, Erik Aldret Bruhjell; two sisters: Mevelyn Shieder and her husband, James of Grover, South Carolina and Shawn Blunt and her husband, Franklin of Summerville, South Carolina. Mr. Aldret is also survived by Joy's parents, Mildred and Wade Dansby of the Presbyterian Home in Clinton and Joy's brother, Wade F. Dansby, Jr. and his wife, Surada. A Service to Celebrate the Life of John Aldret will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at the First Presbyterian Church of Anderson with the Reverend Dr. Dennis F. Tedder officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Session Room of the First Presbyterian Church. A family committal service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Anderson. In lieu of floral contributions, the family respectfully requests the memorials be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Anderson, 302 West Whitner Street, Anderson, South Carolina 29624.
