Carithers, died Monday, October 24, 2005 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson, SC.Born in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late John Henry Carithers and Lillie F. Carithers. He was a graduate of Boys' High School and was retired from Logistics Operation Center. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple.He is survived by daughters, Barrilyn Yeargin of Anderson, SC, Teresa Dill of Belton, SC and Edie Alewine of Anderson, SC; brothers, Jerry Carithers of Anderson, SC and Ronnie Carithers of Starr, SC; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2005 at 2:00 pm at Gethsemane Baptist Temple by the Reverend Sam Duncan. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends at Gethsemane Baptist Temple from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Thursday.
